Job description
Job Summary CHAK seeks to hire diligent and detail-oriented research assistants to support the collection of qualitative and quantitative data on integrated health services across three counties i.e Kitui, Kiambu and Nairobi. Research assistants will be expected to live and work within the area assigned to them and play a critical role in ensuring data completion and accuracy, participant engagement, and the project's success. The position requires diligence, good problem-solving skills, strong cultural and relationship skills, independence, and proactive self-management. Research Assistant positions are temporary, with each appointment lasting 2 months with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities and Duties Understand the study protocol and ensure compliance with the requirements of ethical approval. Understand the study design and objectives to assist in the successful implementation of the study. Operationalize study standard operating procedures including community/facility engagement, information sharing, obtaining informed consent and site activation. Participant recruitment and follow up. Accurate data collection from participants and timely data entry. Maintain accurate records of research procedures, results and observations to ensure transparency, and reproducibility. Provide the study team with feedback on study activities as guided by the study coordinator. Promptly respond to study data queries. Assist with data quality checks and data management. Carry out any other duties commensurate with experience, which may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Health, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Social Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution with clinical research experience. Diploma in any Health Professional with experience in infectious diseases (HIV, TB) or NCDs Prevention and care. Experience in research, data collection and data management.âÃÂïâÃÂï
