Delivery Driver

Job description

This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Driver role based in Kitengela. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods to supermarkets and designated locations within Nairobi and its environs, following assigned routes and schedules, and ensuring timely deliveries. Daily tasks include loading and unloading products, verifying delivery documentation, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic checks, and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. The role involves interacting with customers and clients in a professional manner, handling delivery issues or delays, and accurately recording delivery information. The Delivery Driver will also collaborate with the logistics or warehouse team and delivery clerk to plan routes, report incidents or maintenance needs, and support continuous improvement in delivery efficiency and service quality. Please note: The role may involve occasional early mornings, late evenings, and Saturday work.

Requirements

• Customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and basic Sales abilities, to communicate clearly and courteously with clients during deliveries.
• Valid driver's license
• Strong knowledge of Nairobi and its environs, local routes, traffic regulations, and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Prior logistics/deliveries experience is an added advantage
• Ability to manage time effectively, and work reliably with minimal supervision.
